The Superior Court of Fulton County established a new leadership position within the court.   The Deputy Chief Judge for the court will serve in the absence of the Chief Judge, act as a judicial spokesman for the court, and manage the Internal Governance Committee.  Judge Gail Tusan became the Deputy Chief Judge on June 11, 2013. She will serve a one-year term through May 31, 2013.
District 6
Administrative Judge: Judge Arch W. McGarity
District Court Administrator: Will Simmons
Circuits: Clayton, Coweta, Griffin, Flint, Towaliga
The Griffin Judicial Circuit will conduct a one-year Summary Jury Trial Project.  Litigants in civil cases will have an opportunity to see how a trial might play out at no cost to the parties.  The Commission on Dispute Resolution has approved the Summary Jury Trial for the first time in a Georgia court.
District 9
Administrative Judge: Judge Kathlene Gosselin

Circuits: Appalachian, Bell-Forsyth, Blue Ridge, Enotah, Gwinnett, Mountain, Northeastern
Judge Kathlene Gosselin was selected to serve as the District Administrative Judge for the 9th Judicial District when Chief Judge Brenda S. Weaver assumed the role as Secretary of the Council of Superior Court Judges
Ground was broken in Forsyth County for construction of a new courthouse on July 8, 2013.  The new 5-story courthouse is expected to be open by the end of 2014.
