Judicial Council Explainer Video

By Michelle Barclay, Division Director, Communications, Children, Families and the Courts

One of the things learned in the past few years of the Judicial Council Strategic Planning conversations is that a better job could be done of effectively communicating the purpose and history of the Judicial Council to judges, lawyers and the public.

Thus, an explainer video about the Judicial Council was made last quarter and shown for the first time at the August 31, 2016 Judicial Council meeting.  It is narrated by Supreme Court Justice Harold Melton and Court of Appeals Chief Judge Sara Doyle.

The text can easily be changed which is important because Judge Allen Wigington is the new Chair of the Strategic Planning Committee of the Judicial Council, and committees and priorities will likely change as the process and work moves forward.
