In Memoriam

altJudge J. Taylor Phillips of Macon died June 15, 2012.  Judge Phillips retired in 1998 after serving the State Court of Bibb County as judge for 22 years.  He served as a senior judge since his retirement. Judge Phillips earned his law degree from the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University.  He served in the US Marine Corps during World War II and the Korean War.  Judge Phillips served in both houses of the Georgia General Assembly.  In February, the Bibb County Commission voted to name the Bibb County Courthouse in his honor.
