New Member of the Supreme Court of Georgia, Justice Charlie Bethel

Justice Charlie Bethel was sworn into the Supreme Court of Georgia on October 2, 2018. Justice Bethel received his formal education at the University of Georgia, earning a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in 1998 and a Juris Doctor degree in 2001.
 
Prior to his appointment to Georgia’s highest court, Justice Bethel served on the Georgia Court of Appeals, as a State Senator for three terms, as an Alderman for the City of Dalton, and as a law clerk on the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia for Judge Charles A. Pannell, Jr.
