alt• Judge Daphne Walker (left), Chief Magistrate, Clayton County, stepped down in September 6, 2013, to become president and chief executive officer of the Partnership Against Domestic Violence.  Judge Walker was elected in 2004 as the first African-American Chief Magistrate for Clayton County.
• Judge Maurice Hilliard, Municipal Court of Roswell, retired on August 31, 2013, after 32 years on the bench.
alt• Ms. Holly Sparrow (right), Clerk/Court Administrator, Court of Appeals, retired on August 31, 2013.  Ms. Sparrow became Clerk/Court Administrator in 2010, after serving as Deputy Court Administrator.   Mr. Steve Castlen was selected to fill the vacancy created by her retirement.
• Judge John Allen, Superior Court, Chattahoochee Judicial Circuit, has announced his retirement for October 31, 2013.  Judge Allen has served on the superior court bench since his appointment October 1993; he also served on the State Court and Recorders’ Courts in Muscogee County.  He has served on the Judicial Council of Georgia and chaired the Judicial Qualifications Commission from January 2011 until April 2013.
