Jill Radwin Award

The State Bar of Georgia’s Family Law Section recently awarded the 2014 Jill Radwin Award for outstanding family law service to the indigent to Atlanta Legal Aid Society, Inc., attorney Brianne Erwin.

altBrianne Erwin has worked with the Atlanta Legal Aid Society since 2008, first as a legal intern, then as staff in their Cobb County office representing low-income Georgians with various legal issues, with various legal issues, focusing on representing domestic violence victims in divorce and custody proceedings. In 2011, she began work in the Fulton Family Law Division promoting the safety and stability of low-income Georgians who have been victims of domestic violence through court representation in divorce and custody proceedings.

About Jill Radwin

Jill Radwin served as Staff Attorney at the Administrative Office of the Courts from 2004 until her death in 2011.alt She worked on behalf of children and families throughout her legal career, including positions with law firms, legal services, in private practice, and government. At the AOC she served as the liaison between judges, attorneys, and the legislature working on child support laws.  Jill provided legal research and advice to interpret the Child Support Guidelines statue and helped maintain information on the Child Support Guidelines website.  She conducted training and addressed legal questions from the courts on the guidelines and child support related issues. She provided updates and training on the child support calculator to the court and prepared impact statements when legislation or court cases affected child support issues.
