Language Access CLE Seminar

The Chief Justice’s Commission on Professionalism, along with AB Olmos & Associates, PC and Georgia Legal Services, is sponsoring a free Continuing Legal Education (CLE) seminar on information on why and how to ensure language access for LEP and DHH litigants.

Eliminating Barriers to Justice II: Why and How to Ensure Language Access for Limited English Proficient and Deaf/Hard of Hearing Litigants will be held on March 26 at the Blackburn Conference Center, Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School in Atlanta.The seminar is scheduled for 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.

MCJE for Superior and State court Judges have been approved for this training and may be availalbe for judges of other classes of court.
Seminar highlights include welcome remarks by Chief Justice Hugh Thompson,Supreme Court of Georgia, a stakeholders panel moderated by the Judge Christopher J. McFadden, Judge, Georgia Court of Appeals/Vice Chair, Supreme Court of Georgia Commission on Interpreters and a keynote address by the Justice Keith Blackwell, Supreme Court of Georgia/Chair, Supreme Court of Georgia Commission on Interpreters.
