In Memoriam

On the day he completed law school, Judge George B. Culpepper, III, enlisted in the US Navy where he served as Lieutenant during World War II. After his service, Culpepper joined his father as an attorney in Fort Valley until he was appointed Superior Court Judge in the Macon Judicial Circuit in 1967.  He retired January 1, 1983, assuming the position of senior judge.   Judge Culpepper of Macon died on November 29, 2014.

After Judge Watson White served in the US Army during World War II, he used the GI Bill to earn a law degree. Once he had earned enough money from working at Lockheed-Martin, he opened his own Marietta law practice in 1955. From there he was elected judge of the state court in 1968 and judge of the superior court in 1978, a position he held until his retirement in 1994.  Judge White of Marietta died on December 13, 2014.
