Judge John C. Pridgen, Superior Court, Cordele Judicial Circuit, has been named the 2016 "This Is Your Life" honoree by the Cordele-Crisp Chamber of Commerce & the Watermelon Days Committee. The “This is Your Life” award is presented in recognition of going above and beyond the call of duty in service to Crisp County.


In Memoriam

•  In 2012, Senior Judge Horace T. Ward retired from a prolific career that began 62 years earlier when Judge Ward became the first African-American to apply to the University of Georgia’s School of Law.   Judge Ward was appointed to the Civil Court of Fulton County in 1974, the first African-American trial court judge in Georgia, and in 1977 he was elevated to the Superior Court of Fulton County.
