alt• On August 23, 2012, the Georgia Commission on Women and the Georgia Women's Institute recognized Chief Justice Carol W. Hunstein, Supreme Court of Georgia, as its Woman of the Year.   The Chief Justice's son, Mr. Jon Abate, introduced her to the crowd assembled at the 103 West Restaurant in Atlanta, GA.   In 1996, former First Lady Rosalynn Carter was the first recipient.


Georgia Team Attends National Language Access Conference

Teams from across the nation met for three days to discuss and learn about language access in the courts in Houston, TX.   On October 1-3, the National Summit on Language Access brought together national leaders in language access to train the state teams on issues such as language access plans, remote interpreting, developing resources, training, and technology considerations.


Judicial Portraits Unveiled

Over the past few months, several judicial officers have been recognized for their outstanding work in the judicial field including Judge Pat Hardaway, Presiding Judge Herbert E. Phipps and Presiding Judge Charles B. Mikell of the Court of Appeals, and Judge Dorothy Robinson, Superior Court, Cobb County.
